Jewellery Cleaning & Care

Keep your jewels sparkling with our step by step guide on how to clean and care for your jewellery.

Jewellery should sparkle and shine, but exposure to dust or dirt, hygiene products, even air and moisture can dull your favorite pieces over the course of time and rob them of their gleam.

Thankfully, it's possible to clean most items in your jewellery box without heading to a professional jeweler.

STERLING SILVER

The majority of our jewellery is 925 Sterling Silver. These pieces are high quality & long lasting.

925 Silver. Sterling is the jewellery quality standard in the United States and most world markets. It is an alloy of 92.5% silver. The remaining 7.5% is usually copper though it is sometimes other metals.

The reason sterling silver requires the mixture of other metals is because naturally, pure silver is soft. Adding other metals to the silver increases the hardness, making it durable.

Why Cleaning Jewellery Is Important?

Dirty, unkept jewellery can be a safe haven for bacteria which could eventually lead to skin irritation, allergies, and complete discoloration and degradation of the metals. Excess dirt and debris can lead to gemstones becoming scratched as well.

Our guide to keeping your treasures sparkling.

''Our Jewellery should be the last thing you put on when dressing and the first thing you take off when undressing''.

Looking after your Omorose Jewellery:

We highly recommend that you take your Jewellery off when doing anything that requires a lot of work with your hands or body or in situations where your Jewellery may come loose and fall off. Always remember to put your Jewellery in a secure location.

Cleaning:
Our Jewellery is easy to keep clean, mix together a white vinegar and water solution. - Soak the Jewellery in the solution, and then use soft toothbrush to get into corners and holes.this will leave the Jewellery shiny.
